Credit card transactions have become mainstream source of income in many business enterprises around the world nowadays. With the massive expansion of the internet, online business or online purchasing using credit cards have become the staple form of business transaction for some franchises. Due to these facts efficient and low cost credit card processing has become very important to the success of any online or offline business.

In a low cost credit card processing there should be a cheap method involved in accepting the creditor’s credit card information such as the card number; credit limit and expiration date; apply them to the merchant’s account and obtain payment from the creditor’s account for the required amount. Nowadays a business’s success or failure may depend on the fact of obtaining a low cost credit card processing method.

It is necessary to utilize a low cost credit card processing into your business in order to raise its profitability. An enterprise can lose a lot of money by using an expensive and also an exaggerated processing service. Usually the intricacies of credit card transactions and of their statements can be quite confusing to understand. It can sometimes be near impossible to exactly judge how much money that one is actually paying for the service. Acquiring a low cost credit card processing system eliminates all these problems.

There are three main types of low cost credit card processing methods. The first is the most basic method employed where a plain integration method connects the client’s website directly to the bank via the credit card system. The second is by using a virtual terminal that allows for the manual accumulation of mails. The third one is when a custom linking of the client’s system is done using a transaction gateway server in order to connect the system to other composite systems. One can select any of these methods when setting up one’s own low cost credit card processing system.

In the United States, the cost of credit card processing will have a flat or rental fee of about $10 to $20 per month as well as a small percentage, known as a discount fee, of the individual sales that the client company will be making. By using a low cost credit card processing system you can get a discount rate of about 1.69% or maybe even lower for an online business; and a discount rate of about 2.19% or lower for mail orders and online merchants. If you can utilize a low cost credit card processing method you will be able to get a transaction fee of about 25 cents for all merchants.

There are quite a few credit card processing franchises that offer secure, efficient and low cost credit card processing methods. If you are willing to dispense some energy and time you will be able to find yourself the perfect credit card processing company for your business.

According to Master Your Money Type, there are six types of financial behaviours and money habits. The Strivers love to let others know how much money they have. They may demonstrate how successful they are before they are actually successful. The good thing is they have a lot of energy to invest in themselves. They also want to make things happen. The only problem is that some may overspend. They need to know how to use the money to invest for future and make it grow.

The Ostriches feel embarrassed by having money. They are proud that they are not bothered by money, while some only wait until there is a crisis before they think about it. Some people dream of striking the lottery or marry into rich family, hence they do not take care of their own finances.

The Debt Desperadoes overspend, or they have lost their jobs and lack money. Some love to shop and they max out their credit cards, and others have to borrow to get by day by day.

The Coasters are the most financially stable. They are organised and have enough coverage for the future. The more optimistic ones feel that they can always get what they deserve.

The High Rollers are always gambling, playing the stock market on margin and thinking that there is a short cut to success. They need to know how to limit their risks.

Finaly, the Squirrels are motivated by losing money. Instead of living within their means, they live well below their means. They can’t enjoy what they have, or give generously to other people. That’s why you may hear about Bag Ladies who keep so many things.

When you know your money type, then you can learn to better manage your money. Read the book to find out more.

Selemat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all Muslim readers! My friend told me that he had changed $1000 worth of money so that he can give to his younger relatives and his elders. How can he make the money back since he is unmarried and do not have any children?

Muslims are prohibited from engaging in any form of investment related to interest-bearing financial services such as banks and insurers, haram (forbidden) things such as alcohol, tobacco, gambling, pornography, production of military weapons, trading of gold and silver as cash on a deferred basis, and others such as advertising and media. So, what is there that is left to invest in?

Plenty, actually. So long as the securities and investment tools do not go against the Islamic philosophy and laws, they are allowed. These include stocks in the energy, technology, oil and gas as well as infrastructure sectors. These sectors have done extremely well in recent years. Perhaps this is one reason why you hear of oil sheiks more often than not, because this is one sector they can totally invest in.

Despite the recent volatility due to subprime losses in the US markets, Shari’ah-based investments have been protected since they do not engage in the financial markets.

One such fund that you can get locally is the DBS Mendaki Global Fund. These are the companies that it invests in. Apple is a great stock they are holding on to. In addition, the annual management fee is extremely low at 0.5%, which they attributed to corporate social responsibility. It has gained 33.5% in a year, which is extremely decent.

Companies they invested in
APPLE COMPUTER INC
ISHARES-MSCI JAPAN INDEX FUND
TRANSOCEAN SEDCO FOREX INC
SUEZ
OIL SERVICE HOLDRS TRUST
MIDAS HOLDINGS LTD
NVIDIA CORP
PHILIPS ELECTRONICS NV
NEW ORIENTAL EDUCATIO-SP ADR

The Secret to Becoming Rich
by: Elise Fisher
Napoleon Hill, the author of Think and Grow Rich, believes that a person does not have to be a genius to become rich. Any person can become wealthy if he thinks positively and has a deep desire to achieve his goal.

Positive Thinking: You must see your financial dreams and know that you will be able to attain them. You must already own them.

If you begin making up every rationalization under the sun why you can’t succeed, pinch yourself. You have to discipline your body and mind to think positive thoughts. Teach yourself that those kind of thought patterns are unacceptable. You can obtain greatness, even if you are not the smartest, most talented, or best looking person in the world. Success is your if you’ll just allow it to come into your life. Don’t underestimate the power of your thoughts.

Burning Desire: Hill tells a true tale of a man named Edwin Barnes who desired to become Thomas Edison’s partner. Most of us would have scoffed at him had we lived back then. Edwin Barnes was a nobody. Nevertheless, he had a deep desire, a life dream, and he was determined. He went to Thomas Edison and convinced him to hire him. He did not instantly achieve his dream, but he worked hard and ultimately became Thomas Edison’s partner. This was a feat everyone thought was impossible.

Edwin Barnes followed these 7 steps to gain this great success:

1. Choose a definite dream.

2. Put all your energy into that dream.

3. Be willing to do menial work at first.

4. Visualize your dream.

5. Form a strategy.

6. Endure through the hard times.

7. Eliminate any way to retreat.

As you focus on obtaining your goals, answer these questions: What is the exact amount of money I want? What am I willing to sacrifice for it? What exact date do I want this money by? What is my strategy?

Don’t forget, to successful people, there is no such thing as “defeat.” What looks like defeat is no more than a great opportunity. Start creating opportunities out of failures and being successful today!

For beginning stock investors, it may be tempting to follow the experts’ advice and put all your money into a few hot stocks. However, research is required and you need to understand some terms. It may be more worthwhile to buy US stocks compared to local stocks. It all depends on how much knowledge you are able to have about each company.

There are many free tools on the internet that allows you to find out more about each stock, whether it is overvalued or it is a blue-chip company. Some of the tools include http://morningstar.com and http://moneycentral.com. There are some online brokers that provide virtual accounts. You can test your stocks without putting in money. One of them is Optionsxpress Singapore.

One trick is to look for stocks that have low P/E ratio. P stands for Price and E stands for Earnings. 15 is considered fair value. 20 and above is overvalued and 10 and below is undervalued. This is just a rough guide. For example, if a stock’s earning per share is $10 and it is currently trading at $150, it would be a P/E ratio of 15.

You cannot simply just monitor the prices of the stocks per se. There must be other fundamentals that you must research on. Currently, I’m monitoring this stock Total (TOT), a discount-priced French energy behemoth that is growing fast and buying back lots of stocks, according to Fortune Magazine. They have a recommendation of 40 stocks. Do get hold of this issue: Retire Rich. In addition, I’m reading up on Secrets of Millionaire Investors written by Adam Khoo and Conrad Alvin Lim. During my recent trip to Redang, I spent my afternoons reading the book by the beach. This is my ultimate aim of making profits, to laze at a beautiful beach with a book in my hands. <a href="http://singaporeprofit.com/2007/06/15/online-stockbrokers-and-tools/secrets-of-millionaire-investors-bookjpg/"rel="attachment wp-att-12" title="secrets-of-millionaire-investors-book.jpg" >
