If you’ve been in the business world for long enough, you will have recognized the revolution in e-commerce without anyone ever having to point it out to you. Businesses thrive on success thanks to the integration of information technology to support their processes and credit card processing solutions happens to top the list, as far as business and consumer interaction is concerned.

Time and time again, enough and more consumers have faced with the situation where they may have not had enough time to withdraw cash from an ATM, but since they own a credit card, they nevertheless go shopping. Then someone runs in to a lovely dress in a corner shop and makes an attempt to purchase it only to find out that they do not accept credit cards. Could you calculate how many customers you will lose on a regular basis this way? Credit card processing solutions are essentially important in order to avoid this type of thing happening.

If you are a small business owner, you ought to speak to a few companies that provide credit card processing solutions and figure out how to integrate electronic credit card processing system in to your business. Medium and large scale businesses can, with some investment, get their own credit card processing solutions system implemented within the organization that would reach out to its clients. If you are a start up company, you could sign up at free credit card processing solutions providers such as paypal and moneybookers to obtain a basic account. These platforms usually facilitate credit card processing solutions by charging a nominal fee (as a percentage) on every transaction that is made. In addition, you will be also subjected to a small processing fee and additional charges depending on the method of currency withdrawal you opt in for. As an example, if you want to withdraw your earnings via wire transfer, you will end up bearing bank fee charges. If you prefer payment by check, you may experience a little delay in receiving the payment due to postal service inefficiencies and so on.

The bottom line is that when you are running a business, you need to have credit card processing solutions embedded and in place, if you want to attract more customers. That being said, it is also important to check around with your friends and colleagues about the most feasible ways of integrating credit card processing solutions to your business. Remember that a thorough background check on the service provider of credit card processing solutions could save you a lot of money going in waste, hassle and of course time.

Retirement savings is a very important thought. The contentment of your retirement depends on your savings.

Retirement is a time for relaxing, pampering, having fun, and in short spending the eve of your life in total contentment. This can be done only by careful planning through one’s active years of life, unless you have inherited a comfortable fortune or unless you are comfortably rich.

If you are to carefully plan your retirement the first point to consider is “How much retirement savings should I have?” In order to calculate “how much retirement savings should I have?” it is important to think of what sort of retirement life you would like to have.

As each person’s likes and dislikes are different, retirement planning varies from person to person. Some of you might like to travel the world quite often while some of you might like to add an overseas trip occasionally. Another one of you might prefer to just relax at an elder’s home with first class treatment or you may chose to live in your own home, with maids at your beck and call.

Some of you might like to spend your retirement with your children and grandchildren pampering them on special occassions, but not being a burden on them.

You should also be careful to set a side some retirement savings for illnesses as well as unplanned issues as this type of problems increase with age. This maybe best sorted with an insurance policy which will cover your health benefits and guarantee the best treatment at times of discomfort. “How much retirement savings should I have?”, will be the question that pops up again. For some people it is quite a daunting task to decide how much savings need to be set aside for unplanned and unforeseen issues? Your insurance agent will help you to decide on what policies are best for you.

If you are a single person you have to plan only for yourself. But if you have some one dependent on you like your spouse or a sick child the questions “how much retirement savings should I have?” should be thought about again. When you are planning you have to consider what stake should be set aside for your dependent.

When deciding and calculating how much retirement savings should I have? it is important to consider the number of years you can save for on a monthly or weekly basis. It is also important to find few ways to invest your retirement savings in order to gain the best return possible which will make your retirement years rosier.

If how much retirement savings should I have is not thought about carefully you might be in for total disappointment during your retirement years. After deciding on how much retirement savings should I have?, the thought should be put in to action so that your retirement years will be the most pleasurable years in your life.

Before using a prepaid credit card you have to pay for it, thus the self-explanatory identification on the card.A deposit or prepaid specific amount of money which is sometimes called a “security deposit” will be have to be placed by the card aplicant into the bank of the card issuer. In most cases the required amount is between $200 and $500.00 and your credit limit is equal to the amount of your security deposit.

With traditional credit cards, you apply for credit and receive approval or you are denied based on your credit rating, then if approved, you are issued a credit card with a specified line of credit. If you do not have credit established or if you have damaged credit the traditional banks will probably deny you access to a line of credit.

Those lending institutions who issue prepaid credit cards may not bother to do a credit check or verify your employment, as they may eliminate the strict credit rating requirements usually enforced by the traditional credit card issuers.Since your line of credit is secured by the deposited security amount, the credit card issuer is covered in case you default on the payments. The prepaid credit card can help establish credit or repair bad credit because the security deposit assures the card issuer of payment and most people are eligible.Although you may get instant approval on these prepaid credit cards, there could be restrictions, such as having to be at least 18 or 21 years old or you may have to be a citizen of the U.S..

You can conveniently use prepaid credit cards like traditional cards, where ever MasterCard or Visa is accepted. These prepaid credit cards can be used to pay bills online or on the phone or to access cash from an ATM machine for any purpose or they can be used to do online and offline shopping.

Prepaid credit cards can help establish or rebuild reasonable credit ratings and keep payments from falling into default.Other advantages of the prepaid credit cards are the elimination of the need to write checks and money orders and make trips to the post office to pay monthly bills, and your paycheck could be deposited directly onto your card.

Some things that are disadvantages of the prepaid credit card are higher interest rates and over the limit fees, and a monthly maintenance fee. Some other disadvantages of prepaid credit cards are the fact that the cards may not be accepted as payment by car rental agencies and the security deposit which has to be paid before you can use the card.

Whether you are rebuilding your credit rating or establishing credit for the first time, it is very important for you to make your payments on time and you must be careful to not exceed your credit line limit.Prepaid credit cards were added our list of financial sources to help us learn to keep track of where our money is going and how we can control what we are spending.

If for some reason we allow our payments to fall behind for a couple of months, we can easily be caught in a never ending cycle of late payment fees and they can really add up very fast.By making on time payments consistently, you may find that most companies will increase your credit limit and/or return your deposit with interest.

I’ve been using the various online banking services from DBS, UOB, and Fairpriceplus, supported by OCBC. I always thought that I needed to get the PIN from the bank, so I never used Citibank’s online banking services. However, I wanted to check my account balance and so I found out that it wasn’t that hard I had imagined it to be, and I could have used it long ago.

The PIN required for Citibank online banking is your ATM PIN. For added security, you will key in your PIN by clicking on the numbers instead of keying in from the keyboard. At the same time, your account numbers will not be seen by any hackers, because most of the numbers are covered up by asterisks ***.

So far, UOB, Fairepriceplus and Citibank will send a second round of security number to you via SMS. This means you can check your accounts anywhere you want. UOB is also able to separate joint account holders’ individual accounts, and yet giving access to the account for both holders. I’m not sure about other banks though.

Fairpriceplus is an online bank that operates mainly via the Internet. You may access the ATMs from OCBC to deposit or withdraw money, or you can just transfer money from other accounts. Because of this, it is able to give 1% interest on normal saving account. I think this is a great deal compared to what many other banks are offering. At the same time, if you are a frequent NTUC shopper, you get to earn more points when you use the credit or debit facility, as the card has 2 in 1 functions.

By moving everything online, we can avoid meeting the pesky bank officers who try to sell us all sorts of structured products, especially when they aren’t making the money themselves, and the products promoted are recommended not based on merit, but based on what the company has for the product of the month.

DBS wants to save money on SMS bills, so it has issued a token to its customers. This means you have to carry that small token with you, which is quite inconvenient. At the same time, since many of us are afraid to lose it, we will probably leave it at home, which limits the ease of portability.

One newspaper columnist had already spoken out against this a few months ago, citing it as a reason for him to close the accounts and then move on to other banks which offer more convenient services. I guess banks have to watch out for the bottom line by lowering its operating costs, but at the same time, it should ensure that customers are well served without having much inconvenience.

For many people, walking into a bank and depositing funds is a quick and easy process. However, many people have gotten into financial trouble in the past, and their history with banks and lenders is — well — fewer than stellar. For these folks, even beginning a relationship with a bank can be a challenging prospect, unless they’re fortunate enough to find an institution that offers a no credit check checking account.

Most banks have a policy of looking at financial histories previous to opening any accounts with a new customer. They may do this through the standard companies like ChexSystems or reporting agencies like TransUnion. If negative information is received, that customer may be up the proverbial creek without a paddle. It is a maddening situation for sure. How are you supposed to reestablish yourself in the financial world if they don’t give you the opportunity to prove that you have learned your lesson and are ready to move on?

The answer lies in a no credit check checking account, and there are a few varied ways to find these. If you’re an employee of a professional organization, like a public school district or the armed forces, you may be able to find a no credit check checking account through your local FCU. You can also find a no credit check checking account online, where a variety of financial institutions will offer different packages for your unique situation.

Many of these online accounts will include a wide range of services in the package, such as a debit card and a direct deposit option for your payroll checks. Some banks will have no minimum balance requirements, and will allow you to pay the majority of your bills online for supplementary convenience. You can repeatedly deposit money from a large number of locations, and access funds through a variety of methods, like ATM withdrawals.

These online services have proven quite advantageous for many people who have found themselves in financial difficulty and have had trouble digging their way back out again. By opening a no credit check checking account, you can work your way back to good financial health by managing your funds judicially and wisely. In time, and with a no credit check checking account that is in good standing, you will find that you can qualify for other types of financial products as well, such as mortgages or auto loans.

A no credit check checking account is the first step back on the road to financial health, so go ahead and fill out an application today!

Get more data about financial issues such as Checking Accounts where you’ll find everything you need to know about the payday loan reviews and much more.

Self-Serve ATMs would probably be introduced in Singapore next year. They are supposed to be multi-functional, and you can even deposit cheques and pay bills on top of other normal activities. One point made by the interviewee on Channelnewsasia.com said that the traffic in Orchard Road is very high, and it would be unacceptable for ATMs to break down.

I think this is an important point. For a bank to be fully mobile, the ATMs should be up 99% of the time. I had met with an unpleasant experience with a bank which I had mentioned before with cute ATM messages. I needed to put in funds into my account so that my cheque would not bounce. As I had not set up an account on my Internet banking, I needed to put funds manually into the account. To my frustration, the ATM machine at location B was spoilt. The next nearest location I knew was in location A. The bank put a notice informing the customers to go over to location A. It was not that far away, but I would have to pay additional parking charges at the new location.

Since I needed to put the money in urgently, I drove over to location A. I was extremely frustrated when I saw that both ATMs were down there as well. The notice at location A told customers to go to location B. I flared up. There happened to be some bank officers on duty, but they were more of customer service staff than actual bank tellers, so I marched over to them and asked one of them how long it would take for the ATMs to be ready. She said it would be repaired in three hours, because it was a Sunday. When I told her that I had just come over from location B because of the notice, she apologised that she only just found out that the ATM at B was down. After I asked her where else I could go to to deposit my money, she said I had to go down to Orchard. I didn’t have so much time so I was very angry. I would not be able to deposit the money the next day before 3pm as I had to work. As a result, I had to call up the other party to ask the person to bank in the cheque after 3pm, just so that it would not bounce. This was an embarrassing situation.

The next day, I figured out that the machines should have been repaired by then, so despite driving past location A, I chose to go to location B as it was easier to park for short period of time. To my anger, the machine was still down. The banking hours were over, but the bank was still opened for other investment services. I decided to calm myself down and just went into the bank to try my luck and if not, to lodge a complaint. Thank goodness the bank teller accepted my deposit.

Imagine my disgust when I went to location B again, one week later, and found the ATM was down again. How can the largest bank in the world have such lousy ATMs? If customers cannot withdraw money easily or draw money easily, then what is the point? When I tried to deposit money at location A again, the machine was finally ready, but it was out of paper. Such a standard of service for a major bank was unacceptable to me. The final straw came when the high interest rates promised earlier fell by 0.8% to 1.2%. This amount is dependent on a few factors, such as increasing deposits each month, or a minimum of $20000 in the bank.

I am going to stick to an online bank, which promises a constant 1% for any amount at all times.

I definitely hope that the bank will do something about it. Reading about its woes in Fortune magazine makes me wonder whether the operations in Singapore would be affected.

Going back to the self-serve ATM, I hope it will raise the standards for other banks, though the cost should definitely not be passed on to the consumers.

Have you made full use of your yearly employment benefits yet? Christmas is coming and soon it will be 2008. Some companies I know provide eyecare benefits. So if you need a new pair of spectacles or contact lenses, quickly get them and claim them before the year is up.

I still have dental benefits which I have not claimed, which means I have not been to the dentist in a year. Gasp! There are still two weeks left before the money disappears. If you are planning to do some major dental work and the benefit is not enough to cover the costs, you may consider splitting the work required into two sessions, one in late December and one in early January. That means you can make use of two years’ benefits for one treatment. That’s one way to save money.

Some companies have benefits for self-improvement. If you have employment benefits to buy magazines or trade journals, do make full use of them since not all companies allow rollover of benefits to the next year.

It costs at least $20 to watch a movie on the weekends. One ticket costs $9.50, and if you go with your partner, that would be $19. Another $1 for online booking, and that is $20. Some of you like to have drinks and snacks (that’s where the cinema operators make their money from, not the movies themselves), and that could cost you another $5-$10.

How can we save money then? If you have HSBC credit card, you get $1 off per movie ticket. For those who frequent cinemas, you may want to get vouchers. You can get weekday ticket for $7, or weekend movie ticket for $8 at GV. However, I’m not sure whether you can still book online, or you have to go to the cinema to queue up.

Anyway, rent a movie! At the place I frequent, it costs only $13.50 to watch 3 movies for 1 week, instead of $5 per movie for up to 5 days. When two people watch that, it’s extremely cheap. You get to enjoy your movie in the comfort of your own home. Only thing is you aren’t all dressed up to go out.

The best part is getting DVD for free! My gym offers free DVDs for borrowing. Only thing is I have to finish them in 2 days. That’s a problem when I borrow drama serials with many DVDs. I think I have borrowed at least 30 DVDs so far. The money I pay in fines is so much less than going to the movies.

I wonder whether HBO or Starworld or any other movie channel is worth the money. I don’t know how much they cost, but I don’t like waiting for movies to start. I think they repeat themselves often enough, so you can catch any movie you want. I’m not sure whether Amy Winehouse went to a drug rehab in San Diego, California, or somewhere, but she definitely won’t be bored by the reruns of Mr Bean we get at government places.

This particular American bank which has opened up many new branches in suburban Singapore has the cutest ATM messages! The ATM ‘talks’ to me by saying ‘I’m working on it’ after I keyed in my requests or ‘I’m opening my cover now’ or something like that. It’s like the ATM had come alive and it has its mind of its own. I can almost imagine a funny face on it. Pretty cool. In addition, with the touch screen function, I can pay my credit card bill easily too.

After chucking my PIN mailer somewhere and forgetting about it for a month, I decided to find it so that I can use the ATM to put some money into my new account. I must increase the sum of money in the bank each month in order to earn more interest.

It was after doing research on the cheque books that I realised that getting this particular account was a good option, and I got really frustrated when I couldn’t pay for an exam because they refused to accept cash and credit card. I had to make my way down to the office and explain the whole situation to them again.

Only problem was when I wanted to use my chequebook for the first time, I didn’t have my password to put money in the bank before they cleared the cheque. Again, I had to ask someone else to write a cheque for me. So, I’ve finally took action before it’s the next month since I did not want to lose out on interest.

I’m going to figure out the passwords required to log on to the Internet Banking portal and then I’ll really be free.
